These guys are great. They have excellent firewood and you can schedule delivery. The delivery guys are also great. I usually get about 21 bags of birch or cherry at a time. I've never been disappointed by their product or service. I just ordered their mixed hardwood- haven't tried it yet, but looking forward to it. I ordered the mixed hardwood because I wanted oak, cherry & birch - but they were sold out of birch. I ordered about 16 bags of cherry and then about 21 bags of birch before this recent order. Both orders were excellent quality. The cherry burned a little slower (as it should) and was a larger cut than the birch- the birch burned faster and smelled fantastic. They also have really good kindling. The firewood is definately clean and dry and burns well.+2Posted on Google

Same thing this year. They come and bring it to the back and stack it for us. It’s awesome. They didn’t even ask me to write a review.Posted on Google
Oie Deg548 days agoLost heat 2/23/25, in the morning the howse was down to 50 degrees. On Sunday morning at 7am I contacted Howie and he met me at his warehouse and I picked up 15 bundles and they burned nice and slow. Clean and low smoke. Will definitely go back to Howie. 👍👍Posted on Google
Ronald Horman597 days agoI am a firewood Nazi, and have been on the hunt for premium seasoned, CLEAN, firewood, on LI, for a long time. Has always been a struggle. Finally discovered these guys, and wow. Perfect dryness (~ 15%), so it doesn't burn too quick like a lot of Kiln dried wood, and also VERY clean. Bravo for providing Vermont quality firewood on LI!Posted on Google

DO NOT BUY. Wood comes delivered in plastic bags, which do not allow for moisture to evaporate. This wood is NOT ready to burn as the site says, it requires more seasoning.Posted on Google

Evan Karp969 days agoCleanest, driest, firewood I’ve found on LI. Also I haven’t seen others offering single species, kiln dried. The wood looks beautiful and they also have 10” splits if you need for small stove, pizza oven etc. only complaint might be some of their splits are really big, but they have no issues burning well once you have a fire established+1Posted on Google

michael thomas977 days agoThey say its kiln dried, however, i checked with a moisture meter upon delivery and the oak was 25-30% moisture. I use for my pizza oven so dryness is key. The wood is very smokey and half the bags had green mold on the edges of them after unbagging. Fine for a firepit but no good for an oven. For the price for a firepit find a standard seasoned wood delivery for half the price. I hate to use this term loosely but the wood is garbage. Better off using your neighbors tree. On a side note, there is no customer service. If you call it always goes to voicemail, and there is no person to talk to.Posted on Google
Claudia Corcilius1306 days agoWhat can I say - Great customer service and responsiveness! I called on a Friday late afternoon ahead of one of the coldest weekends on the East Coast in decades. Ling Island Firewood was not only super helpful going through the online order with me, but more importantly was able to get us a last minute delivery scheduled. We didn’t know at that time yet that we would face a 18hrs power outage at night and that that firewood would be the only thing that would keep as warm. We burned a few logs last week in the a.m. These logs heated up the house so cozy we had to crack a window two days later because the house stayed so warm. They are great cuts of wood and smell clean. A very light smell that is not overpowering.Posted on Google
Matthew Michel1318 days agoDaniel and his crew are amazing. I use them for my wood fired pizza spot. They are always on time and leave everything tidy and the wood neatly stacked. The ordering process is very efficient and easy to navigate. The one time they stacked the wood in the wrong spot, they drove back 45 mins and transferred all 200 bags to the right spot. Frederick Mei1366 days agoI knew I was dealing with a quality company when I went online on a Sunday night, and was able to chat with a LI Firewood rep. I ordered the next day, and scheduled delivery for that Friday. The wood was delivered as promised, and stacked exactly where I wanted. I ordered 42 bags of mixed hardwoods. The kiln-dried wood is clean and dense. Last night was my first fire, and I was very happy with the burn. I highly recommend Long Island Firewood.Posted on Google

Wood comes in easy-to-grab mesh bags that fit a “just right” load into a wood insert fireplace. Home delivery in the area is very convenient (vs “come pick it up yourself” competition, which is a challenge for those without trucks). Tom Baione1752 days agoThrilled to find this excellent source for kiln dried firewood on Long Island. The local birch logs are split and short - perfect for small wood stoves and makes for handsome stacks by the hearth. Bug free and quick to light, the firewood comes in mesh bags - easy to stack and carry inside for use. Long Island Firewood staff were friendly and happy to schedule a delivery time that worked for me and eager to assist in helping to bring the wood to my house. After years of struggling to acquire clean, dry firewood, I’m very happy to have this great new source. The logs look nice piled up waiting to burn! Thank you Long Island Firewood!!Posted on Google
Thomas Avery1796 days agoEverything I say about this company is wholeheartedly truthful. Profession, courteous, and diligent, 3 words to express their response to calls and messaging. From beginning to end they have been a fantastic company to deal with. Now about the wood, EXACTLY what you will want for your fireplace or fire pit. The wood comes packaged in easy to carry bundles and the wood is cut perfectly to burn at a good pace. The comfort in not having wood delivered that is wet and dirty is erased with this company. I directed them as to where to drop and stack the wood and it was filled in on my wood rack and the remaining bundles were neatly stacked right along side. Kiln dried wood is the way to go , fast starting and super clean burning. I highly recommend using this company , They take the worry and work out of a “dump and go” wood delivery and replace it with a stress free experience!
