KILN DRIED FIREWOOD
Long Island Firewood stocks the finest kiln-dried hardwood with an average moisture content of 15%. For comparison, freshly cut wood may have a moisture content of 50%, while seasoned wood will naturally dry down to around 30%. Firewood should be as dry as possible, otherwise energy is used to evaporate the water, producing more smoke and less heat. Save on the delivery by ordering in bulk!
